WGL Energy to Celebrate Earth Day at Union Station
We hope you’ll join us

WGL Energy will be celebrating the 45th anniversary of Earth Day at Union Station on Wednesday,  April 22. Hosted by Earth Day Network and Union Station, there will be interactive, eco-friendly entertainment designed to raise awareness about environmental issues and encourage sustainability.

For the third year in a row, WGL Energy will be exhibiting and speaking at the event, educating attendees about how they can reduce the environmental impact of their energy use through efficient and environmentally-friendly energy solutions. The event will also feature NASA, with hands-on demonstrations and activities, science exhibits and live presentations. This is a free event open to the public.  For more information about the event, go to earthday.org/earth-day-union-station.

WGL Energy is proud to provide Union Station with 100% wind power. Each year that Union Station uses 100% wind power instead of traditional electricity is equivalent to avoiding the consumption of more than 1,400,000 gallons of gasoline, or taking more than 2,700 cars off the road for one year.
