WGL Energy Celebrates Earth Day at Union Station
WGL is here to provide energy answers. Ask Us.

WGL Energy celebrated Earth Day at Union Station, meeting with visitors to our booth and answering questions on emissions-free sources of clean energy. We also discussed the environmental impact of Union Station’s continued use of 100% WindPower from WGL Energy.

Here, WGL Energy’s Alicia LaRoche (left) explains how wind power is an emissions-free source of clean energy that reduces carbon dioxide in the atmosphere and helps to eliminate air pollution. Each year that Union Station chooses wind energy over conventional energy sources has an environmental impact equivalent to taking almost 3,000 cars off the road for one year. Union Station is setting an important example for the more than 100,000 visitors that pass through each day by demonstrating its commitment to environmental sustainability.

WGL Energy invites you to consider greening your energy supply by choosing electricity sourced from wind power for your home or business, and other options such as carbon offsets matched to your natural gas usage.

To find out more about how we can help you reduce your carbon footprint, please call 703.793.7533 or visit our website at wglenergy.com/commercialgreen.
