WGL Energy Teams Up with SolarCity to Announce New Residential Solar Offering
Mid-Atlantic residents can now choose solar as their clean, renewable energy solution

WGL Energy Services, Inc. (WGL Energy), a leader in efficient and environmentally-friendly energy technology solutions, has teamed up with SolarCity – America’s #1 solar power provider – to offer residential customers in Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania and Washington, D.C. the opportunity to choose clean, renewable energy by installing a custom-designed solar energy system. Through this marketing partnership, homeowners in these areas can now choose to install a SolarCity solar system at no upfront cost, and may pay less than traditional electric utility bills. In addition to the environmental benefit of residential solar energy, this solution also offers stable and predictable electricity rates for 20 years or longer.

“At WGL, we are dedicated to providing customers with a full spectrum of energy solutions, and are proud to add this residential solar option to our list of offerings, which also includes wind power for electricity and carbon offsets matched to natural gas usage,” said Gautam Chandra, Senior Vice President of Strategy, Business Development and Non-Utility Operations for WGL. “We also are committed to responsible environmental stewardship and providing energy answers that help customers reduce their carbon footprint and efficiently manage their energy budget.”

As part of its marketing partnership with SolarCity, WGL Energy is offering a $100 Visa Award Card to customers who install a new solar system between now and December 31, 2015. Homeowners interested in SolarCity's services can visit wglenergy.com/solar or call 1-877-964 SOLAR (7562) for a free, no-obligation consultation.
