In last week’s issue, we began our two-part series on energy efficiency with an article on the increased demand for energy efficiency and our Energy Management Platform (EMP).
You might recall our EMP is a free online tool for WGL Energy government, commercial and industrial customers. If you are an electricity or natural gas customer, it was designed to help you manage your electricity and natural gas usage, and built to empower you with energy efficiency recommendations that can help you save money.
Our energy efficiency solutions don’t end there.
WGL Energy offers a complete array of energy efficiency services for government, commercial and industrial customers in the following verticals: healthcare, higher education, land port of entry, multifamily, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, public sector and transportation.
In fact, we provide ASHRAE (American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers) Level 1 through Level 3 studies to identify possible measures to help customers reduce energy demand behind their meter. Measures include the following: boilers, chillers, EMCS (Energy Management and Control Systems), lighting, motors, transformers, VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives) and water systems. WGL Energy offers competitive turnkey performance contracting and will arrange financing of projects, and extend guarantees of energy performance.
And, federal government customers should know that WGL Energy is the authorized representative of energy services for Washington Gas territory in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia. We are also able to perform the same type of services within the National Grid (NGRID) territory.
WGL Energy will provide levels of certainty for customers around the expected performance, both financially and operationally, for the designed energy consumption characteristics of the new energy efficiency systems. This type of guarantee may not be available for all projects/products/customers and is offered on a case-by-case basis.
