WGL Energy to Green the Smart and Sustainable Campuses Conference in Baltimore
WGL Energy Services will help reduce its carbon footprint by donating carbon offsets

 

The Smart and Sustainable Campuses Conference is underway in Baltimore, Maryland. This year’s theme is Measuring Our Impact and, as a Silver Sponsor, WGL Energy Services, Inc. (WGL Energy) has donated 105 Green-e® Climate certified carbon offsets to counterbalance conference emissions from energy use at the event space, hotel stays, ground transportation and land-filled waste.  This year’s offsets were generated by preventing the release of methane from a landfill near Winchester, Virginia.
