Ownership Financing Solutions for Modernizing Energy Infrastructure
WGL Energy to present distributed generation financing alternatives at Pennsylvania Energy Management Conference

On Wednesday, October 26, 2016, Charles Miller, Manager, Distributed Generation Asset Development, WGL Energy Systems (WGL Energy), will lead a workshop on leveraging third party financing to fund projects for modernizing critical energy infrastructure and incorporating on-site generation at the annual Pennsylvania Energy Management Conference at the Radisson Hotel Harrisburg in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania.

Sponsors of this year’s conference include the Industrial Energy Consumers of Pennsylvania (IECPA), the Pennsylvania Foundry Association, the Manufacturer’s Education Council and WGL Energy. The conference will provide expert insights on energy management and cost reduction, future natural gas prices and electricity rates, energy efficiency and conservation plans, energy procurement, demand response and, of course, financing solutions for modernizing your energy infrastructure.

During the first part of his presentation, Charles will discuss a variety of funding mechanisms and how each varies by state, utility, market sector, tax status and technology (e.g., combined heat and power, microgrid and resiliency). He’ll also provide an update on the investment tax credit.

The second part of his presentation will focus on the process for developing a project and will include a discussion of available financial incentives, tips for developing a detailed financial model to support your project and an overview of a typical performance contract model.
