How Can Achieving Net Zero Improve Your Bottom Line?
NFMT session in Baltimore to focus on sustainability reporting and carbon reduction

Rich Walsh, WGL Energy Systems (WGL Energy) Program Lead, Clean Energy, will be speaking at Building Operating Management’s NFMT2017 event in Baltimore, Maryland on Tuesday, March 7.

Sustainability reporting has grown dramatically in recent years, with 81% of Fortune 500 companies participating in 2015. Sustainability reporting helps companies achieve higher levels of transparency, by allowing them to show the impact of their activities on the environment, society and the economy.

A key objective of sustainability reporting is measuring an organization’s environmental impact, as well as developing an effective plan for reducing it. Energy consumption represents a major opportunity for carbon reduction and, with an energy management strategy that includes a diversified portfolio of renewable energy solutions, can help an organization evolve to net zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions.

During his talk, Rich will focus on several ways companies can reach net zero GHGs, many of which can help improve an organization’s bottom line while simultaneously reducing its carbon footprint.
