61% of Businesses Report Having Carbon Reduction Goals
WGL Energy can help you achieve these goals with renewable energy and carbon offsets

According to a recent Deloitte and Harrison Group study, where more than 1,500 U.S. residential consumers and 600 U.S. businesses were asked about their attitudes and actions on energy management, 61% of businesses surveyed reported having a goal to reduce their carbon footprint.
If your business or government agency has a greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction target that must be met this fiscal year, WGL Energy Services (WGL Energy) and its channel partners can help. You can, for example, purchase renewable energy certificates (RECs) or carbon offsets from landfill gas capture and destruction projects to help achieve your emissions reduction goals quickly.

With each purchase of wind or solar RECs from WGL Energy, you help reduce the environmental impact of your electricity use, help create green jobs, reduce GHG emissions and demonstrate your environmental commitment to your customers.

While the purchase of RECs is a great way to reduce the emissions caused by your electricity usage, it does not help with many other common sources of GHGs. This is where carbon offsets can make a difference. A carbon offset represents a reduction of GHGs made in one place to compensate for emissions created in another place. Carbon offsets are extremely flexible, and can be used to offset other activities such as business travel, conferences and events.
Act now to reduce your carbon footprint and become more sustainable. Click here to learn more.
