Weekly review for July 5 - July 11, 2020
On Friday, the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) reported that working gas in storage as of Friday, July 3, 2020 was 3,133 Bcf.  This is an increase of 56 Bcf from the previous week. Inventories are currently 685 Bcf higher than last year during this same period and 454 Bcf above the 5-year average of 2,679 Bcf.
Heat continues to bake the PJM region.  Warmer patterns are slated to continue this week, couple that with parts of the region starting to return to work, and the markets look poised to move even higher.
Markets moved higher this week as the 12-month Nymex gas curve gained 4.3% and the 12-month PJM Western Hub increased 4.35%.
