Green living involves making lifestyle choices that conserve and preserve the Earth’s natural resources and habitats. This week we will provide you with some green tips to practice living a more sustainable lifestyle.

  1. Create clean air with plants. House plants can reduce mold spores in the air or remove the gases found in carpets and furniture.
  2. Let the grass grow. Allowing your grass to grow longer between cuts saves on gas or electricity and reduces carbon dioxide emissions.
  3. Get a green financial adviser. Set-up accounts to invest only in portfolios that have a positive impact on the planet.
  4. Practice eco-driving. Before a long journey, check tire pressure, remove unused roof racks and boxes, and avoid overloading. Turn off engines for waits of more than one minute and avoid sharp acceleration and heavy braking.
  5. Minimize packaging. When shopping for produce at shops and markets, take your own containers or reusable bags.
